An article in Wednesday’s Daily misquoted Vice President for External Affairs Murray Blackwelder, who spoke at a meeting of the Special Fees Committee Tuesday. Blackwelder was quoted as saying the athletic department has used student fee money to fund the natural turf project in Trice Stadium, skyboxes and bathroom renovations in the stadium, along with the construction of the Jacobson Athletic Building and an addition to Hilton Coliseum.

Blackwelder actually said student fee money was not used to fund those projects, but rather has been used to help fund nonrevenue sports that faced elimination.

The Daily regrets the error.
