Draper named president

A professor in Iowa State’s College of Veterinary Medicine was named president of the Iowa Veterinary Medicine Association.
Donald Draper was chosen during the January ceremonies of the association’s 115th annual meeting, held in Des Moines.
Draper will lead the association in coordinating the efforts with livestock and companion animal organizations, medical associations, government agencies, educational institutions and civic organizations.
At the same meeting, John Kluge, professor of veterinary pathology, was named as a delegate to the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Darrell Trampel, professor of veterinary medicine, was also named as a member of the association’s executive board.
