I read in this morning’s (Feb. 4) Daily that Fred Hoiberg’s number is being retired. That is great. What about football? Almost every other stadium I have visited is adorned with the names and numbers of their great players. Florida State recently had a huge ceremony to retire that Deion someone or other.

Have we even retired any football numbers? If not, it’s about time, and why not start with Troy Davis? I think it would be beneficial for recruiting and, if nothing else, the beauty of the stadium to see his jersey or something like it hanging from something or flying in the wind.
