Russian official to speak today

Russia’s highest-ranking agricultural official, Alexander Zaverjukha, will speak at Iowa State today at 3 p.m. in the Campanile Room in the Memorial Union, according to an ISU News Service press release.
Zaverjukha, Russia’s deputy prime minister, will speak about the United State’s involvement in agricultural changes in Russia.
Stan Johnson, ISU vice-provost of extension, said Zaverjukha has never been to the United States. He said Zaverjukha reports to the prime minister, who reports to Russian President Boris Yeltsin.
