More than realized

Milton McGriff did an excellent job of connecting the peaceful assembly at Beardshear with larger social inequalities here at ISU. However, there was a significant error made that I would like to clear up.
In his editorial, Milton stated that same-sex spouses pay $111 a year more than other faculty and staff for insurance coverage. The real figure is $111 a MONTH. This means that gay and lesbian employees at ISU pay $1332 more a YEAR than their heterosexual colleagues. This is clearly discriminatory, as the General Personnel Policies for ISU employees states that gay and lesbian employees shall not be treated differently than heterosexual employees on the basis of their affectional preference.
