Risk management strategy program to be held Tuesday

Daily Staff Writer

Iowa State will sponsor a day-long program on the Iowa Communications Network on Tuesday to help farmers and agriculture leaders learn about risk management strategies.

The program will highlight tax and legal implications of risk management strategies and the impact of strategies on income variability. It will also teach farmers how to adjust their strategies.

The program will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a welcome from ISU Vice Provost of Extension Stan Johnson and will continue until 3:45 p.m.

The ICN program will be broadcast to 12 locations across the state, including the University of Northern Iowa and Northeast Iowa and Northern Iowa Area community colleges.

The program will break twice during the broadcast to allow time for local discussions.
