Vandals break into book store

Nearly $2,000 worth of computer- and electronic-related merchandise was stolen from the University Book Store sometime late last week.
The business manager at University Book Store, Antwan Clinton, reported that a window had been broken.
According to police reports, the Iowa State Department of Public Safety was notified of the incident at 8 a.m. Friday. Among the reported missing merchandise was a Saturn Core System, computer memory and several empty boxes.
John Tinker, investigative coordinator for DPS, said a large window had been broken out in the bookstore.
Tinker said officials haven’t made any arrests. The investigation is on-going.
