Iowa State Science Fair project deadline drawing near

Daily Staff Writer

Science projects for the 1997 Iowa State Science and Technology Fair are due March 7. The fair, which will be held at Iowa State University, March 21 and 22, is the only statewide general science fair for middle and high school students in Iowa.

Participants in the state science fair must submit project entry forms, for individual or team projects, to the fair’s director.

All projects must adhere to regulations set by the fair’s committee, and proposals must be developed under the guidance of a teacher or other professional, said Sande McNabb, university professor of plant pathology and forestry at ISU and chair of the fair Board of Directors.

A booklet outlining the fair, its rules and entry forms can be obtained by writing to: Iowa State Science & Technology Fair, 221 Bessey Hall, ISU, Ames, Iowa 50011-1021; by calling 294-1458; or e-mail [email protected].
