Diversity forum to be held tomorrow

A diversity forum featuring Iowa State President Martin Jischke will be held Friday at noon in the Sun Room of the Memorial Union.
The forum, titled “Campus Climate,” is sponsored by the University Diversity Committee, Office of the President and Committee on Lectures and also features Carla Espinoza, assistant vice president of human resource services; William Woodman, president of the Faculty Senate; Rafael Rodriguez, director of minority student affairs.
Panel members will make brief comments on recent efforts to improve campus climate and begin the process of redefining institutional values and responsibilties with regard to issues. There will be a special emphasis on assessing mechanisms for feedback and accountability for the diversity of the community.
James Cornette, a professor of mathematics, will moderate. Mary Sawyer, associate professor of religious studies, will provide introductory remarks.
