The Tattooed Guru, also known as Scott Andresen of The Campus Reader, was arrested on a warrant for contempt of court as a result of unpaid parking tickets.

“I guess this is what happens when you don’t pay them for six months,” he said, adding that he did not realize he had the parking tickets from more than six months ago.

Andresen, 26, was released on $50 bond.

He said he was working at The Campus Reader, 114 Welch Ave., Saturday night when the alarm went off at Lasting Impressions Tattoo Studio, also at 114 Welch Ave. When Ames police officers came to the scene, Andresen gave his name to the police after answering questions.

When the police officers returned, they arrested Andresen.

“They came back in and said, ‘Scott, you have a warrant out for your arrest,'” Andresen said. “The guy was almost apologetic.”
