Judge sets trial date for Pratt

A trial date has been set for Iowa State forward Kenny Pratt.

Story County Judge Thomas Hronek set the trial for March 13, the opening day of the NCAA tournament.

Pratt’s lawyer, Gerald Crawford, said he has yet to decide if he will ask Hronek to reschedule.

Pratt faces charges of drunken driving, serious assault of a police officer, resisting arrest and interference with official acts in connection with a Dec. 28 confrontation with Ames police.

On Monday, Pratt pleaded not guilty at the Story County Courthouse in Nevada to all counts. He also pleaded not guilty to a traffic violation of driving without a valid license.

Pratt remains with the team after an appeals committee reinstated him.
