The Iowa State Athletic Department has named a new athletic ticket manager to begin work following the first of the year.

David Crum will fill the void left by Pam Fultz, who left Iowa State in September after six years of service.

According to Mike Green, an athletic ticket manager coordinates ticket sales for the general public and the different corporate groups.

Crum brings with him eight years of experience, including time spent at Ohio State, Nebraska, UCLA and most recently at Northeast Louisiana.

Crum earned an undergraduate degree at Concordia State in 1989 and went on to Ohio State for a masters degree, where he also worked as a student assistant in the ticket office, directing ticket sales for the hockey program.

Crum then traveled to Nebraska and served as the assistant athletic ticket manager for two years, where he was responsible for managing the ticket office, the auditing and printing of the tickets and also the formulation and implementation of marketing plans for all Olympic sports.

At UCLA, Crum spent three years as the vault supervisor and system manager at the central ticket office.

He was responsible for printing and auditing tickets for over 600 events yearly.

His most recent work proves to be his best.

He brought Ticketmaster and a computerized ticket system to Northeast Louisiana as well as being the overall manager of the ticket office, operations at all athletic events and travel arrangements for its football team.

Other duties included the training of office personnel and 30 event staff workers and constructing the university’s policies for tickets and events.
