A retirement reception for William Whitman, associate vice president for facilities planning and management, is scheduled for today from 3-5 p.m. with a program at 4 p.m. in the Sun Room of the Memorial Union.

After having a hand in the construction of about 60 percent of all buildings on campus during his years at Iowa State, Whitman is retiring Dec. 31.

He has been with ISU since he began working at the physical plant in 1960 while he was in college.
