The Ames/Iowa State University YWCA is holding a public discussion session today on the subject of child rearing around the world, including how parents raise and discipline their children.

The program, titled “It Takes a Whole Village to Raise a Child,” will be led by Sharon Lundquist. It will be held from noon to 1 p.m. at the Memorial Union, Room 244.

Vicky Carnine-Irwin, an educational programmer with the Margaret Women’s Center, will offer some information about AIDS and how it affects women, especially women of color.
