Visiting scholar to present lectures

Lynda Jordan, George Washington Carver visiting scholar, will be visiting Iowa State November 5-7, for meetings with science students, student groups, faculty and administrators. Jordan, an associate professor of chemistry at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University at Greensboro, will present a public lecture and research seminar.

Jordan’s research seminar “Human Placental Phospholipase A2 Isoforms” will be given Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 4 p.m. in 1414 Molecular Biology. She will give the lecture “Minorities and Women in Science: Are We Prepared for the 21st Century?” on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m. in the South Ballroom of the Iowa State Memorial Union.
