Seventy-three exhibitors will be displaying crafts at the Community Center gymnasium on the corner of Fifth Street and Clark Avenue.
Central Iowa exhibitors will display their homemade crafts from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16. The Holiday Craft Show will feature primarily Christmas crafts with some Thanksgiving crafts for sale.
Door prizes, donated by the exhibitors, will be given away every half hour. The grand prize, a $25 gift certificate from Earl May, will be drawn at 3:45 p.m.
The craft fair had the maximum number of exhibitors booked by mid-October without any official advertising by the sponsor, the Ames Park and Recreation Department.
Aquatics and activities supervisor, Paul Peanasky, said, “We have some exhibitors that do very well [at the craft fair].”
Food will be served by the Top Club of Gilbert to accommodate those in attendance over the noon hour.
A $1 admission fee will be charged to all those over the age of 15.
