Mock election planned for today

Daily Staff Writer

Today is the day to cast your votes — kind of.

The Government of the Student Body and the Daily are sponsoring a mock election. Races covered include the presidential contest, a Senate battle between Tom Harking and Jim Ross Lightfoot and all of Iowa’s U.S. House of Representative races.

“We’re hoping to get an idea of the political climate on campus,” Daily Editor Chris Miller said.

Students, and students only, can cast their mock ballots from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in front of Parks Library. Students can fill out a ballot at the polling site or cut out a ballot on page seven of today’s paper and drop it by.
