Iowans need a senator like Tom Harkin to lead our state into the next century.

Valuable Iowa farmland will be destroyed by influential big business executives if Tom Harkin is not in control of environmental legislation. Iowans will be drinking parasite-infested water and eating bacteria-ridden food. Do we want someone like Jim Lightfoot representing us in the Senate, wielding enough power to environmentally destroy the state of Iowa?

Tom Harkin has proven his strength in protecting the interests of his constituents. He represents what Iowans need: an intelligent leader, consistently supported by major environmental groups for his strong support and leadership in environmental legislation.

We need a strong voice in the Senate to represent us, one with knowledge and experience. Iowa needs Tom Harkin.
