Floyd ‘disappointed’ by Pratt

Iowa State men’s basketball coach Tim Floyd had little to say Monday about an Oct. 4 arrest of forward Kenny Pratt.

“When I was informed about this incident, I was very disappointed. I will allow the legal process to run its course in this matter,” Floyd said. “We will handle necessary disciplinary action, internally.”

Floyd gave no indication whether or not Pratt, already academically ineligible for the first semester, would be suspended.

Pratt was arrested after turning himself in for a disorderly conduct warrant. The incident occurred on Sept. 28 at the Dean’s List. Police said Pratt got into a fight with an unidentified bouncer.

He has been released on $175 bond. Pratt started and was a key player for ISU last season. He was instrumental in helping the Cyclones to their first ever Big Eight Tournament title.
