Swans say thanks
October 31, 1996
With all of the volatile and important issues on campus these days, some may think it petty or even ridiculous to be concerned about the safety of the trumpeter swans, Lancelot and Elaine. Still, it is time to extend a “Thank you” to all those who have taken the time to encourage the birds back to the lake when they have strayed onto the roadways. I have seen some of you and heard about others who have taken a few minutes or even been late for class in order to insure the swan’s safety.
To everyone who has taken the time to care: the ISU Trumpeter Swan Restoration Committee really appreciates your efforts.
