The Government of the Student Body will be meeting tonight at 7 p.m. in the Gallery of the Memorial Union. The following bills will be discussed:
øA bill on the establishment of a series of workshops for the healing of racism in America. This bill was tabled last week for reevaluation. By Cantrell-Avloes, Powell and others.
øA bill for the allocation of $5,000 from the senate discretionary fund for funding assistance for the 20th Annual Big Eight Conference on Black Student Government. Although the organization is still named the Big Eight Conference on Black Student Government, it now includes members from the entire Big 12. By Johnson, Blackburn and others.
øA bill proposing the statue of Jack Trice be moved to the newly remodeled Ralph Johnson/Richard Jacobson Building and that the words “Jack Trice Field” be painted on the turf at Cyclone Stadium. The bill includes requests the GSB support the renaming of Cyclone Stadium to Jack Trice Stadium. By Powell, Nimmer and others.
