Cecelia Burnett believes Iowa’s most important resource is its people. In her first term as state representative for District 61, she acted on that belief.

She supported an increase in state aid for K-12 schools, and she supported the School Improvement Technology Program, which provides funding to Iowa’s public school districts. She also supported legislation for the continued support of the Iowa Communication Network.

Her concern for people as our most important resources is also evident in her appointment to serve on the Subcommittee for Coordinating Response to Violence Against Women and Children and the State Child Support Advisory Committee.
