People looking for something different to do this weekend can checkout the 3rd annual Gravy Ridge Buckskinner’s Rendezvous in Ames Sept. 20 through 22.

This year’s rendezvous will be located at the scenic Ames Izaak Walton League on Stagecoach Road just off 13th Street.

“The Gravy Ridge Buckskinner’s Rendezvous will be a reenactment of rendezvous in the 1800s,” said Charles A. VanVoorhis, Chairman of The Gravy Ridge Buckskinner’s Rendezvous.

VanVoorhis said rendezvous like this were very prevalent in this area.
