Fleming predictions revealed Thursday

Although Dr. Jon Fleming might not prove to be psychic, there is no doubting that McFarland Clinic’s own visionary is very entertaining with his predictions.
The assembly room at the clinic hosted The Dr. Jon Fleming Cyclone Prediction Show, which details the Cyclone football season week by week with Fleming’s own sense of humor intertwined among the forecasts.
John W. Graves, M.D., who serves as media relations director for the clinic, introduced Fleming to the crowd as “the man that made Jimmy ‘The Greek’ turn Persian,” which started the show off on a light mood that continued throughout the program.
Fleming said that after years of inaccurate picks, he was going to be serious about his picks. “Cyclone fans might be a little disappointed with my predictions,” Fleming said. He then clicked the slide projector to show his guess on the Wyoming game.
ISU 42, Wyoming 3.
This began the string of wins for the ISU football team. The following week, Fleming picked ISU to beat the “University of Eastern Iowa” by a score of 49-45. He was alluding to the Hawkeyes of Iowa in this statement.
By the end of the season, Fleming sees ISU finishing with a record of 9-2, losing only to Colorado and Nebraska.
Troy Davis will top his incredible season of 1995 with 2,173 yards. Fleming said that Davis will gain three yards during ISU’s bye week after video tapes of the Iowa game reveal that the Iowa statisticians “tried to hose Davis out of three yards, but we got them back.”
ISU will go to the Holiday Bowl, defeating BYU by the score of 24-21.
“Davis will win the Heisman over Peyton Manning and Tim ‘Deion Sanders’ Dwight from the University of Eastern Iowa,” Fleming said.
Fleming acknowledged that his show is just a spoof. “I am making my predictions from the heart,” he said.
Fleming earned a degree in meteorology from ISU.
