Strike a pose
September 2, 1996
In his editorial, Tim Davis asks “Exactly how much of the fresh air Jack Kemp breathed into the Republican party’s bid for the White House was used to blow smoke up the collective asses [sic] of the American people?”
I realize that being non-conformist enough to go against the media culture’s leftist bias is unrealistic to expect from an opinion piece in a campus newspaper and that civility of expression is also unlikely (especially when one is trying to be very, very serious by striking the “angry young man” pose) but grammatical correctness should be a goal of every writer.
Even a Daily columnist.
