The mad dash for the Garth Brooks concert tickets began yesterday with the opportunity to get wrist bands. Wristbands can still be picked up at area Ticketmaster Centers during normal business hours. Wristbands will be available until 12 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 6 or while supplies last.
There is a six-ticket limit per person. Children 12 and under are not eligible for a wristband.
The concert takes place at Hilton Coliseum on Thursday, Oct. 17 at 8 p.m. Tickets and wristbands are available at Iowa State Center Ticket Offices (both Hilton and Stephens,) ISU Memorial Union and Save-U-More, 538 S. Duff.
Wristbands do not guarantee a ticket, merely a place in line. Wristbands must not be removed.
Lines will begin forming Saturday, Sept. 7 at 8:30 a.m. to buy tickets priced at $18.50. People must return to the same location where they received their wristband. At 9 a.m. a random drawing will take place at each location to determine the starting number in line. For more information call the Iowa State Center at 294-8808.
