The Jaycees of Ames will be presenting their annual Fourth of July fireworks show Thursday at 9:00 p.m. at Stuart Smith Park on South 4th Street across from the Iowa State Center.

“It’s going to be $8,000 in fireworks lasting from 10 to 15 minutes,” said John Oetken, president of the Ames Jaycees.

He said the show may or may not start exactly at nine o’clock depending on the amount of sunlight remaining.
