The Iowa State University Athletic Department made a $1,000 donation to Urban Dreams in Des Moines.

Urban Dreams is an organization designed and committed to the bettering of Des Moines youth.

“This donation was in recognition of the work that Wayne Ford and his organization has done for the youth of Des Moines,” said ISU athletic director Gene Smith.

“We feel this is an appropriate gesture after holding our spring game in Des Moines.”

Construction on the soon-to-be-completed Jacobson Athletic Building and the new grass field forced ISU to hold its spring game at East High School’s Williams Stadium.
