Melissa Estrada and Shaun Edgar have been named the new assistant coaches for the women’s soccer team.

Estrada played soccer at Creighton University and finished third on the all-time scoring and assist leader list in 1995. “Melissa’s work rate as a player is second to none,” said head coach Cathy Klein. “I have no doubt she’ll have that same winning attitude when she’s coaching here at Iowa State.”

Edgar brings 24 years of coaching experience to ISU. “Shaun has a tremendous soccer mind. He’s had enormous success coaching women and Iowa State will definitely benefit from those experiences,” Klein said.
