Because I said so. That’s why!

The Chicago Bulls have regained the championship, and made yet another mark in NBA history. The question now becomes, what next?
The Bulls have a team that was by far the best in the NBA. The only team with a record that was remotely close to that of the Bulls was the Seattle Supersonics, and the Bulls played at a level that was two giant leaps above Shawn Kemp and Co. But what next?
Michael Jordan will leave the Bulls to play for another team.
You heard me right — Jordan will leave Chicago to play for another team, as well as another championship.
What about the Bulls? The Bulls already have James Edwards, John Sally and Dennis Rodman, but this will not be enough for general manager Jerry Reinsdorf. Reinsdorf’s master plan will be completed when he lures Bill Lambier out of retirement with a $5 million contract, and Isaiah Thomas will take over the coaching job, making the transformation from the Bulls of now to the Pistons of old.
Well, probably not, but it still wouldn’t hurt the city of Chicago as much as losing the greatest player in the history of basketball. And they will lose him, unless…
Unless the Bulls can come up with the $18 million Jordan is going to ask for, plus…
Phil Jackson will have to stay on as the head coach, and Scottie Pippen will have to stay as well.
If Jordan does leave, where will he go?
He is going to Phoenix. That’s right, finally Charles Barkley and Kevin Johnson will win an NBA championship.
Jordan can also play golf year round without having to travel anywhere. The real question is who will be coach of this all star team? There have been rumors of former NBA player Danny Ainge becoming the next Sun’s head coach, but don’t be surprised if Jordan is reunited with Phil Jackson in the desert land of Arizona.
If Jordan does stay with the Bulls, the team will have to do some freshening on the bench.
First of all, this re-creation of the Pistons of the late 80s has got to end. By the beginning of next season, all that will remain of the three former Pistons now Bulls players will be the hair dye at the bottom of the shower drain in the Bulls’ locker room.
Yes, Rodman is gone. He was good for a season, but nobody likes to pay a babysitter, and that is exactly what the Bulls kept Jack Haley for. So when the Bulls release Haley, Dennis will be off to greener pastures. Or yellow, or red, or whatever he is in the mood for.
Who else will get the axe? I’m not sure but some possibilities are Bill Wennington and Jud Buechler. Both could be unsuspecting targets.
With the cavalcade of great players who will become free agents, Chicago has a chance to pick up the power forward they need.
Everyone keeps saying that the Bulls need a center. They have won four championships without a stand-out center, why should they try to pick one up now. Their offense is not center oriented and the ball would not go inside enough to satisfy any of the big names anyway.
If the Bulls want to keep winning, all they have to do is keep Jordan, Jackson, Pippen and Kukoc, as well as beef up the bench.
This team has three players who are all stars, you don’t need much more than a good rebounder, and a couple of guys to hack the snot out of Shaq.
If the Bulls can take care of these minor adjustments, the rest of the teams in the NBA might as well hand over the next two or three championships.
And that is all I have to say about that. See ya!
