Recently there has been a great deal of controversy surrounding the proposal to locate a McDonald’s at the Hub.

Let me take a somewhat different point of view.

I suggest the famous twin arches be separated and placed on top of Beardshear with one arch oriented east/west the other north/south.

The arches, much more visible on the dome than on top of the Hub, would be an entirely fitting icon to the university emphasis on privatization and would represent the true vision of Iowa State University Inc.
