Fred Hoiberg, Indiana Pacer guard and hometown hero, was back in Ames on Saturday at the Sports Page in North Grand Mall to greet young basketball hopefuls and announce that he will be holding the first annual Fred Hoiberg Basketball Camp.

Ames native Hoiberg held an autograph and registration session for his upcoming camp that will be held August 13-17.

Camp highlights will include ISU head basketball coach Tim Floyd, former ISU head basketball coach Johhny Orr and assistant Indiana Pacers coach Billy King.

Boys entering second to ninth grade can register for a week-long camp.

Registration will include a limited edition camp T-shirt.

Hoiberg said he hopes his camp will teach basic fundamentals and teamwork goals as well as dedication on and off the court.

The camp will be held at the ISU REC-Center in Ames.
