Catt Hall forum is planned for today

Daily Staff Writer

An open forum concerning the broad issues surrounding Carrie Chapman Catt Hall will take place from noon to 2 p.m. in the Oak Room of the Memorial Union today.

The discussion will include 13 brief presentations from people who have resources or opinions.

Terri Houston, director of student activities, will facilitate the forum.

Following the presentations, there will be an open microphone for all those who wish to express their opinions.

This forum is part of the “We Gotta Talkā€¦” series sponsored by the Student Union Board. This series allows students, faculty and staff to discuss important events affecting the students and the university.

The name of Carrie Chapman Catt Hall has come into question lately because of comments Catt made publicly against different races and foreigners during her lifetime.
