The following individuals were cited and released for shoplifting Friday:

*Holly K. Jones, 20, 1432 Summit Ave., at Younkers, 2801 Grand Ave.

*John N. Scapillato, 18, 4340 Wallace Hall, at Hy-Vee, 3800 Lincoln Way.

*Helena G. Meyers, 20, 208 S. Hyland Ave., was arrested on a charge of shoplifting at Younkers, 2801 Grand Ave and was later released.

The following individuals were cited for consuming alcohol in public Friday. They were later released:

*Matthew R. Ellis, 22, North Liberty, at the 500 block of Welch Avenue.

*Barry N. Burrell, 21, 4403 Toronto St., at the 200 block of Welch Avenue.

*Clinton W. Ahrens, 21, Clarion, was arrested on charges of public intoxication and consuming alcohol in public at Lot 1. He was later released.
