This is a sure sign that summer is on its way. The Story County Conservation Board will open the doors of the Story County Conservation Center for weekend visitors at McFarland Park north of Ames, starting this weekend.

The center will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays through October 27.
