Assistant vice president for Human Resources is named

The Professional and Scientific Council has named a new assistant Vice President for Human Resources.
Carla R. Espinoza begins the position on May 28. Espinoza is currently a partner and principal investigator with the personnel consulting firm Factfinders in Albuquerque, N.M.
Espinoza, who received a B.A. in English in 1971 from California State University, Northridge, and a master’s degree in public administration in 1978 from CSU, Los Angeles, was the director of the Department of Human Resources at the University of New Mexico before working with Factfinders.
The position of assistant vice president for human resource services was created last July.
The office is responsible for the Regents merit system, labor relations, employee benefits, child care, P & S classification, training and development, retirement advising and employee assistance programs, according to a news release.
