An Ames medical clinic was the target of vandalism this weekend, officials said.

An employee from the Family Practice Medical Clinic, 1018 Duff Ave., said the sound of breaking glass was heard at 1:12 a.m. Sunday, according to a report made by the Ames Police Department. The report was made by paramedics at Mary Greeley Medical Center.

A triple-panel window on the north side of the clinic’s basement level was broken with a rock.

Damages are estimated to be $1,000.

Officials from the Family Practice Medical Center were not available for comment.
