Catt Center to discuss racism
November 3, 1995
The Catt Center is considering venues to discuss racism in the women’s suffrage movement.
Rosalyn Terbor-Penn, a noted expert on race in the suffrage movement, has been invited to campus to discuss the issue.
Elizabeth Hoffman, dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, said Catt Center officials had tried to get Terbor-Penn for the dedication week, but she wasn’t available. The center is also trying to get a group of scholars to discuss the suffrage movement, racism specifically, in a forum setting.
