Poor Daily coverage
November 1, 1995
To the Editor:
As a person who participated in the Right to Life demonstration on Oct. 18, I am very disappointed in the Daily’s coverage of the event.
In your Thursday edition there was one picture that was supposed to be an adequate depiction of the numerous demonstrators lined up between Curtiss and Beardshear Halls.
Last week the Daily was full of pictures and articles about the Coming Out rallies and activities, so I ask why did those events receive so much press time while the Right to Life coverage was, to say the least, lacking?
Shouldn’t the Daily strive to cover all types of activities to keep the reader better informed? I’m hoping that in the future the Daily will strive to become impartial journalists who can put aside their own beliefs and cover all stories with equal diligence.
