ISU cross country runners earn Big Eight Newcomer-of-the-Year Honors

Iowa State’s men’s cross country runners Saul Patla and Emily Martini have been selected as the Big Eight Conference’s cross country Newcomers-of-the-Year.

Patla, a sophomore form Marahal, Kenya, placed seventh in the Big Eight Cross Country Championship on Oct. 27. Martini, a freshman from Emmettsburg, finished 14th overall in the 5,000-meter race.

Free T-shirts to Iowa State students at Kansas State – ISU football game

The Iowa State Athletic Department will be handing out free T-shirts to the first 1,000 students to enter through the south gate. The event is being held to show appreciation for fan support. The shirt will feature sophomore sensation Troy Davis. Students must show their ticket stub in order to receive a T-shirt.
