To the Editor:

BOYCOTT THE CENSUS!

The city wants to count us, but don’t let them!

When has the city ever listened to us? When did the city denounce the storm drainage sewer fee? When did the city reduce the extra sales tax? Why do the City of Ames and the Ames Police Department continue to absolve themselves from responsibility, calling for greater “discipline,”when the biggest money-maker in town arrives Veishea weekend? Why are rental rates so high in this community that the advertising thrust of Hunziker’s ad in this town is “now all you need is a roommate?” Why won’t the City Council listen to student input on the new tenant/landlord laws until they go into effect? Why do we give them our money, when the money is not for us? Why let them count us, when we don’t count?
