Howie brings “Bobby” to Ames

Howie Mandel brings his off-beat humor to Stephens Auditorium for a one-night stand Nov. 10 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets, priced at $22.50, went on sale yesterday and can be purchased at the Iowa State Center Box Office, at all Ticketmaster locations or charge by phone at 233-1888.

Many may remember Mandel from the hit television series “St. Elsewhere,” where he portrayed Dr. Wayne Fiscus. Probably his most memorable character is a squeaky-voiced five-year-old named Bobby.

Mandel turned the character into “Bobby’s World,” an award-winning animated cartoon airing on Fox.

“Everything I’ve ever been punished for, expelled for or hit for, is what I get paid for today,” Mandel said in a press release.
