The Senior Class Council is again kicking off its fall lineup of activities with “Senior Spook” Saturday night at The Dean’s List.

Bryce Freeman, president of SCC, said Senior Spook is “a long-running and successful fall event for the SCC.”

“The purpose of Senior Spook,” he said, “is to give seniors a fun opportunity to express their creativity.” Halloween costumes are recommended.

Students arriving in costumes will receive $1 dollar off admission, and prizes will be awarded throughout the evening in categories such as best overall costume, best couple, funniest costume and scariest costume. The first 200 people in the door wearing costumes will also get a free mug.

Senior Spook is sponsored this year by and Domino’s Pizza as well as the Alumni Association and area businesses. Domino’s will be selling pizza for $1 per slice, and there will be drink specials all night.

“It’s a fun event for us to put on, and a fun event for the seniors to attend,” Freeman said. He also said SCC is looking for a diverse group of seniors to attend Senior Spook Saturday.

“We are striving to reach all kinds of student groups and help them get involved in our events,” Freeman said.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. and the event will continue until 2 a.m. Admission is $3 or $2 with a costume.

SCC is also selling raffle tickets for the “Dean-for-a-Day” contest. Tickets are $1 and are available at the south booth in the Memorial Union and at each college placement office. Proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society.
