Former Iowa State standout Fred Hoiberg was chosen as the first pick in the first round by Omaha in the Continental Basketball Association draft on Tuesday.

Hoiberg was chosen by the Indiana Pacers as the 52nd pick in the National Basketball Association draft held in June.

Former Cyclone center Loren Meyer was also chosen in the CBA draft. Yakima, Wash. chose Meyer in the seventh round as the 97th pick.

Meyer was chosen by the Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the NBA draft. He was the 24th pick
