The Government of the Student Body will meet at 7 p.m. today in the Pioneer Room of the Memorial Union. The following will be discussed:
*A bill proposing that Peter Van Alstyne be seated as the Family and Consumer Sciences College senator. By Cowger and Pletka.
*A bill proposing that $1,300 be allocated to the Senate Discretionary Fund to fund 87 percent of the boarding costs for Iowa State’s Student Society of Landscape Architects Annual Conference. By Cowger and Juhl.
*A bill proposing that Article X of the GSB Bylaws be eliminated. By Beck and Hardersen.
*A bill proposing that Article XI of the GSB Bylaws be eliminated. By Beck and Hardersen.
*A bill proposing that $3,000 be transferred to the Richmond Center from the line-item Semi-Independent Organizations ChildSafe. By Beck and Hardersen.
*A bill proposing that $325.45 be allocated from the Senate Discretionary Fund to purchase new computer hardware for the SUB/GSB computer lab. By Masri and Goodman.
*A bill proposing that $279 be allocated from the Senate Discretionary Fund to install a new hard drive in the Executive Office. By Nimmer, Cowger and others.
*A bill proposing GSB reserve $19,000 for the purchase of a nine-passenger van through ISU Transportation Services. By Beck, Hardersen and others.
*In other business, the following were selected to fill positions at the Sept. 13 GSB meeting:
John Tannehill, chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee; Gustavo Herrarte, international senator; James Cashman, David Ammann and Ryan Raschke, off-campus senators; and Brian Allen, USAC senator.
