Cross country ranked number 1

Iowa State’s men’s cross country team has been picked as a preseason No. 1 in College Sports magazine’s Division I men’s cross country rankings. The Cyclones are returning six members from their 1994 NCAA cross country championship team.

Returning for the 1995 season are senior Dmitry Drozdov; juniors Jonathon Estabrook, Justin Gottschalk, Corey Ihmels and Matt Thomas; and sophomore Simeon Wright.

ISU-Iowa football game sold out

The Iowa State-Iowa football game this Saturday is sold out, ISU Ticket Manager Pam Fultz announced Friday.

About 45,000 seats have been sold along with all standing room only tickets, which is the grass seating at the ends of the stadium.
