311 will make a stop in Iowa City
If you can’t make the 311 show Wednesday night at The Love Shack in Des Moines, don’t fret. September 18 will be an evening of rasta-funk and in-your-face-funk all wrapped up in one delicious offering.
These masters of funky-reggae-rap will spend an evening at the Iowa Memorial Union in the Main Lounge. No Doubt and Dog Eat Dog will open.
Tickets went on sale last Friday for $13.50 and are available at all TicketMaster outlets.
“It’s cool to be country these days”
John Anderson is bringing his country music “come-back” of the decade performance to Des Moines. Anderson will play at Veterans Memorial Auditorium Sept. 28.
Country ‘Til I Die is Anderson’s latest offering and one that has turned his career around. That career has spanned three decades and has produced such hits as “Black Sheep,” “Swingin'” and many others.
“It’s cool to be country these days, but it’s been pretty cool and hip for me for all these years.”
