Tommy tickets on sale this morning

The Who’s Tommy, composed and written by Pete Townshend, runs Friday, Sept. 29 through Sunday, Oct. 1 for five performances at the Civic Center of Greater Des Moines.

Tickets go on sale today at 10 a. m. and are $38 to $15. There is a 10% discount offered to groups of 20 or more. Tickets may be purchased at the Civic Center Box Office, in person, fax, or by mail order. Tickets may also be purchased at all TicketMaster outlets in person, or by phone.

Botanical Center has wonders for all

An opportunity to view the century plant, one of the largest flowers in the world, awaits those who visit the Des Moines Botanical Center.

Admission is $1.50 for adults, $.75 for senior citizens, and $.50 for college students. Everyone else is admitted free.
