Country music stars take Ames by storm

It’s time to put on your brush poppers and cowboy boots and have one hoop-hollerin’ of a good time with Reba McEntire.

The reigning Country Music Entertainer of the Year is coming to Hilton Coliseum Oct. 6. Appearing with McEntire will be special

guest stars Tracy Byrd and Rhett Akins.

McEntire won the 1994 American Music Award for Best Country Album for Ready My Mind. That album produced two hit singles, “And Still,” and “She Thinks His Name was John.”

She has taken the country world by storm, selling over 28 million albums and being named the Country Music Association’s Female Vocalist of the Year four times, an unprecedented feat. Along with all those accolades, McEntire has won multiple Grammy Awards.

“I’ve learned the hard way that life is fragile,” she said in a press release.

“The only way to live it successfully is to grab it by the horns, take calculated risks, keep two steps ahead of your competition and never, ever stop striving for excellence.”

Get ready to see the bull, with the horns, when McEntire takes center stage.

Before you get to see the leading lady of country music, Tracy Byrd and Akins have the opportunity to entertain.

Byrd had a successful debut album with a number one hit single, “Holdin’ Heaven” and has a strong follow-up with Redneck Roses. He co-wrote two of the songs, including the title track.
