Car/bike accident injures 1

A 21-year-old biker was slightly injured when he was struck by a car in Campustown Wednesday afternoon.
Police said that Michael Eldred, a sophomore in mechanical engineering, was hit by a car while attempting to cross the intersection of Welch Avenue and Lincoln Way.
Thrown from his bike, Eldred landed on the car, smashing its windshield. He was transported to Mary Greeley Medical Center with lacerations on his back, according to police records. Eldred was treated and released.
The name and condition of the driver of the car was not released. The accident is under investigation.
The accident was the second of its kind in two days in Campustown. A 22-year-old student was slightly injured in a car/bike accident on Welch Avenue on Monday.
